There is a secret that the big Wireless companies are not advertising. Unlimited Texting. This can be a great way to keep connected without a large monthly phone bill. Many kids want to do a lot of texting but at 5 cents ot ten cents each it adds up quickly. 2,000 to 5,000 texts in a month is not unusual for kids to use.

$10 per Month Unlimited Texting?

*Verizon Wireless Prepaid* You can have unlimited texting limited to any Verizon Wireless customer for just $10 per month. You will need to set your phone up as a prepaid phone. Any regular Verizon phone that is no longer on contract will work. Or you can purchase a Verizon Prepaid phone to use for as little as $29. Talk Minutes will be 25 cents each with the basic Verizon Prepaid plan.

*At&t Go Phone* You can have 1000 texts per month for $10 with At&t and they can be to any phone. While it is not unlimited 1000 texts is quite a few. Purchase an AT&T Go Phone (they have very good deals on Go Phone Packages) and choose the Simple Plan option. If you do use this phone to talk the cost per minute on the Simple plan with 1000 texts is 10 cents per minute.

$15 per Month Unlimited Texting

T-Mobile has a Monthly plan with Unlimited Texting to any cell phone for $15 per month. Buy a T-Mobile prepaid phone and add a prepaid card. Then choose the $15 per month Unlimited Text plan. Calling minutes on this plan are 10 cents.

$20 per month Unlimited Texting

Both Verizon and At&t have $20 per month Unlimited prepaid texting. With either of these plans you can text to any phone. Neither of these companies push these plans, they both have them. This is a very inexpensive way to have unlimited conversations. For school kids with time and desire to talk all the time this can be a very inexpensive alternative.

At&T vs Verizon $20 Unlimited Texting

The prepay phones and starter plans from At&t are less expensive than the prepaid starter plans from Verizon. I would choose between them depending on who has better coverage in the area the phone will be used. T-Mobile at only $15 per month is the best deal if you have good T-Mobile coverage in your area.

Verizon Prepaid vs Tracfone are examples of two different types of prepaid phone plans. Verizon Prepaid uses the “Unlimited in network minutes with a daily charge” type of plan and Tracfone uses the Cost per minute plan.

How Verizon Prepaid Works

Verizon Prepaid has several options

Prepaid Basic which offers 25 cent minutes.

99 cents per day which allows you unlimited calling to other Verizon Wireless phone users and then you will pay 10 cents a minute on all other calls. Every day that you use your phone you will pay the 99 cent fee. Texts are 10 cents to send and receive.

199 cents per day which allows you unlimited calling to other Verizon Wireless phones and then you will pay 5 cents a minute on all other calls. You also get Unlimited Nights and Weekend calling with the $1.99 plan. Every day that you use your phone you will pay the $1.99 fee. Texts are 5 cents to send and receive.

399 cents per day which allows you unlimited calling to other Verizon Wireless phone users and then you will get Unlimited calling every day. Every day that you use your phone you will pay the $3.99 fee. Texts are 1 cent to send and receive. This is basically their Prepaid Unlimited Plan. $3.99 per day for Unlimited Calling to any phone in the United States.

Text Message Bundles

If you are on any of the Verizon Prepaid Plans you can get the Message Bundle Plans. For $20 per month you get Unlimited Messaging. For $10 per month you get unlimited texting to Verizon Wireless phones and 250 additional messages. If you go over the 250 you will pay 20 cents per message with the Basic plan, 10 cents with the 99 cent plan, 5 cents with the 199 plan, and 1 cent with the 399 Unlimited plan.

How Tracfone Works

Tracfone is a simple Cost Per Minute prepaid cell phone company.

You purchase the Tracfone phone and a Minute card.

Then you activate the phone by calling Tracfone on a land line or by going online.

You will have to type in some numbers into your phone and then it is active. It is really easy.

Next you will add a Tracfone Minute Card.

When adding a minute card if you use a five digit Bonus Code you might get more minutes. Check out the Tracfone Bonus Codes.

Basically you buy Tracfone minutes on a card and add them to your phone. You will get 90 days of service time on most Tracfone cards. You must keep minutes and service time on your phone to use it. The remaining number of minutes and the service end date will usually show on your display. vzprepaidvstrac

Be sure to check out what Tracfone DMFL is before you purchase your Tracfone. Here is a great article on Tracfone DMFL. I would only add minutes to a Tracfone that had DMFL on it.

Tracfone Service Time and Minutes Roll Over

If you add minutes or service time before your phone has completely run out the remaining minutes or service time will roll over.

Get $3 off on any Tracfone or accessory $19.99 or more with coupon code 23444.

How do I check my Tracfone Service Time?

If your “Due Date” does not show on your screen you can go to your menu and click on prepaid. Then scroll down to “Airtime info.” Both your airtime balance and Due date will show. You must add another Tracfone card to your phone before the Due Date to keep your service active. Even if you have minutes left you will need to add another card to keep your service active.

Motorola Razr and Tracfone Samsung R451c Qwerty Phone

How Verizon Prepaid Service Time Operates

If you have 20 days left on your activation time and you put $15 you will end up with 30 days of service after the addition. When you have 40 days of service left and you add a$15 payment you will still only have 40 days of service left. Verizon does not add your remaining service to what you purchase, you receive the larger of either your remaining balance or the newly added service time.
