Roll Over with Net10
Carry over is now different for various Net10 options. The $25 and $50 Monthly cards do not roll over time or minutes.
So if you purchase a Net10 Cellular “Monthly” Card you will get 30 days to use your 750 or Unlimited minutes. If you purchase a Payg Pay as you Go minute card like the $30/60 day card then your service time and minutes will roll over but you must keep your service active.
The PAYG (pay as you go) cards do roll over minutes and service time.
Changing Plans with Net10
If you want to change from Pay as you go to Monthly service there is no extra charge. You can shift back to Pay As You Go (PAYG) simply by adding another PAYG card. Keep in mind the Monthly cards do not roll over. As soon as you add an additional card with monthly service your previous card will become invalid.
Net10 Cellular Monthly Card Warning
If you are utilizing the Monthly plan and you add in a fresh card your prior balance will not carry forward. For example if you have 100 minutes and 12 days left and you add another 750 minute card you will end up with 750 minutes and 30 days, you will not end up with 850 minutes and 42 days.
You will spend at least $15 a thirty day period to always keep your Net10 phone active.

I was looking to save money and started with our cell phones. It seems we really spend way too much on contract phones. The first thing we did was look at how many minutes actually get used each month. Turns out we are buying more than we use. Decided it was finally time to take a look at prepaid cell phones. In the past, it may not have been considered a good option, but with all the improvements made and pricing and plans available, it’s worth a peak. Discovered NET10 is all about making things better for their customer, so different than how our contract carrier did. They do offer a wide selection of phone types and you’ll definitely find a plan that suits your usage needs. You can even switch between the plans as your needs change without a penalty. Their coverage is nationwide and uses either AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile, just depends on the best one in your area.
I have never understood the contract cell phone companies reasoning behind punishing you for buying more minutes. 45 or 35 cents per minute if you go over your contract is nuts.
